Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective (BEAM)
Group aimed at removing the barriers that Black people experience getting access to or staying connected with emotional health care and healing. They do this through education, training, advocacy and the creative arts.

Black Men Heal
Limited and selective free mental health service opportunities for Black men.

Black Mental Health Alliance – (410) 338-2642
Provides information and resources and a “Find a Therapist” locator to connect with a culturally competent mental health professional.

Black Mental Wellness
Provides access to evidence-based information and resources about mental health and behavioral health topics from a Black perspective, as well as training opportunities for students and professionals.

Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation
BLHF has launched the COVID-19 Free Virtual Therapy Support Campaign to raise money for mental health services provided by licensed clinicians in our network. Individuals with life-changing stressors and anxiety related to the coronavirus will have the cost for up to five (5) individual sessions defrayed on a first come, first serve basis until all funds are committed or exhausted.

Brother You’re on My Mind
An initiative launched by Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and NIMHD to raise awareness of the mental health challenges associated with depression and stress that affect African American men and families. Website offers an online toolkit that provides Omega Psi Phi Fraternity chapters with the materials needed to educate fellow fraternity brothers and community members on depression and stress in African American men.

But I’m Not Racist:  Tools for Well-Meaning Whites
The 79 page document is a free download from Kathy Obear, who this hosted a Racial Justice Accountability Space (with this resource provided), and had been scheduled to be a part of University of Kentucky’s Facing Change Week in April 2020.  This book and other resources are available at her website https://drkathyobear.com/.  The Social Justice Training Institute was founded in 1998 by Jamie Washington, Kathy Obear, Vernon Wall, and Maura Cullen http://www.sjti.org/ .

Boston College Racial Trauma Toolkit
In this era of having witnessed multiple police killings of African American boys and men and girls and women either directly or vicariously through media accounts, communities of Color may experience post trauma symptoms.  The ISPRC Alumni Board has released a toolkit for managing symptoms at #racialtraumaisreal which is available to download.

Community Healing Network: Healing in the Face of Racial Trauma
This tool kit was developed by and for people of African ancestry, for our self-care, family-care, and community care. It is designed to comfort and inspire us in these difficult times. It provides resources to help us take care of ourselves and each other, and strengthen our sense of community for the journey ahead.

Ebony’s Mental Health Resources by State

Henry Health
Provides culturally sensitive self-care support and teletherapy for African American men and their families. Currently in pilot program available only to residents of MD, VA and DC. Residents of other states can join their waiting list and will be notified when Henry Health is available in their state.

The Steve Fund African American Mental Health
The Steve Fund is dedicated to the mental health and emotional well-being of students of color. Right at this moment, there are students of color who are failing academically, suffering emotionally and/OR in some cases are facing serious risk, because population-specific factors influencing mental health are too poorly understood and not acted upon. The Steve Fund is taking action.

Therapy for Black Girls
