Marketing Unplugged 2026
Web Development for 2026 and Beyond
Technology is constantly evolving, and our Web Development Team is dedicated to ensuring that we remain at the forefront of these advancements.
This commitment is essential, especially in light of the mainstream adoption of AI (Artificial Intelligence), which has become integral not only to our daily lives but also to the algorithms driving today’s search engines.
LETS BEGIN…
Getting The Balance Right
In our market, we need to have a balance that will keep us on the edge of modern technology, but also still be geared to older clientele.
Young adults (18–29) and teenagers (13–17) are the primary users of AI for searches, with 74% of adults under 30 using AI to find information and 64% of teens using AI chatbots, often for schoolwork and information, by early 2026.
While Gen Z leads, and Millennials are heavy AI daily users, Baby Boomers & Gen X are only using AI for searches 35% of the time. 65% of old-school consumers still rely on Search Engines such as Google, Bing, Yahoo and, YES, even AOL!
Implementing AI (Artificial Intelligence) is crucial to our future and market, but we must also continue to use the old, reliable and effective ways of backlinking to balance out the younger generation and the older generation for maximum results.
Does The Old Way Even Matter Anymore?
YES, backlinks and keywords are still critical for SEO in 2026, but their roles have evolved toward quality and intent over sheer volume. Backlinks remain a top-3 ranking factor by signaling authority, while keywords now focus on fulfilling user intent and AI-driven semantic search, not just repetition.
Backlinks: Still Crucial Authority Signals
Quality Over Quantity: Search engines, particularly in 2026, prioritize natural, high-quality, and relevant editorial links over spammy ones.
Rankings Impact: Over 90% of top-ranking domains in many studies still utilize backlinks as a primary authority driver.
AI Importance: Backlinks are vital for AI search engines (like ChatGPT or Perplexity) to discover and trust your content, making them essential for visibility in modern search scenarios.
The Future of Web Development at Innisfree
Graphic Design + Web Team = Success
Over the past 2 years, we have put into place new procedures to our web development process.
This new process involves the following:
New Website and Website Refresh requests should be submitted through Dana Pittman or our Ticket System on this website.
All future websites will be created using a comprehensive mockup process where our Graphics Department collaborates with you to design a layout that aligns with your needs and vision. This approach allows you to refine your ideas before we transition to development, ensuring that our team has a clear guide during the building phase.
After finalizing a complete mockup of your website, our web development team will construct a fully functional website. The development timeline can vary from one to three weeks depending on the complexity and amount of content involved.
Website refreshes will follow the same procedure, beginning with a full mockup prior to reconstruction. We will create a fully operational version of the website on our development platform before it goes live, allowing us to make any necessary adjustments in real time.
